education and outreach

The mission of the Leslie Munzer Neurological Institute of Long Island (LMNI) is to advance the understanding and knowledge of the nervous system and related neurological disorders, improve the quality of life of those affected by the diseases, provide education and outreach both to patients and physicians, to fund research in the neurosciences, and help purchase necessary equipment so that Long Island hospitals have cutting edge technology available for the Long Island community.

We will accomplish these goals by coming together and working as a community - for a community. We will bring education and outreach to the people in their own communities, help raise funds for research in the neurosciences and partner with Long Island hospitals to help them purchase additional equipment for treatment and diagnosis of diseases related to the nervous system.

LMNI is a supporter of the talented physicians located here on Long Island, many of whom are tops in their fi elds and believes that health care on Long Island rivals that which is available anywhere today. LMNI was created to fi ll the need of those coping with diseases of the nervous system. LMNI was created by Long Islanders for Long Islanders.

Our goal
To be recognized as the premier regional institute for facilitating treatment of diseases related to the nervous system.
