About Us

Stewart B. Fellner, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer of Setton International Foods, Inc., a wholesaler and distributor of pistachios and other nuts and dried fruits, and has been employed by Setton for more than 18 years. Prior to joining Setton in 1992, Mr. Fellner worked in public accounting for 13 years.

His relationship as a volunteer with the Leslie Munzer Neurological Institute of Long Island (LMNI) began after January 31, 2008, when Stewart suffered a near-fatal hemorrhage resulting from an undiagnosed Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). Stewart underwent nearly eight hours of microscopic neurosurgery to remove his life-threatening AVM and finally, on February 19, 2008, he was released from the hospital.

Mr. Fellner’s gratefulness to have survived his ruptured AVM, motivated him to give back to the community and raise awareness about the deadly congenital disorder. In April 2008, Stewart appeared with Dr. Jonathan L. Brisman, his neurosurgeon and president of the Institute, on a radio interview with KJOY on their Island Outlook show, where Stewart’s neurosurgical procedure and treatment was discussed. Mr. Fellner has also appeared in an LMNI video, regularly attends the Institute’s Brain AVM and Aneurysm Support Group meetings to help others, and has been a steadfast volunteer at many LMNI events, helping to promote the Foundation. For the last two years, Stewart has also served on the Annual Gala Committee, soliciting donations for the Foundation with the help of his employer.

Stewart B. Fellner is an avid Yankee fan, likes to golf and lives in Wantagh with his wife, Wendy, and his two children Cara and Matthew.
